Meet the two guys behind Corridor Stump Grinding - Iowa City's best tree stump removal team.

Meet Frank
Quality service for a fair, affordable price - that’s what Corridor Stump Grinding is all about. I enjoy woodcutting. It's been a part of my life since my days growing up on a dairy farm in Northeast Iowa. It was only natural I would find my way into this business.
After spending 4 years in the US Army and eventually retiring from Pearson Educational Measurement in 2014, the honey-do list is about complete. So with my son-in-law, Joe, we are excited to bring our tree expertise to our Corridor stump removal customers.
My wife and I make Solon our home. I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren, fishing, and hunting. We are big Hawkeye fans, with all 3 of our children graduates of the University of Iowa. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you on your tree stump removal.
I'd love to give you a free quote on your tree stump removal.

Meet Joe
Good, honest service to our customers - that’s my goal for every stump removal we do. I learned to run the stump grinder while working as a climber for a tree service company. I love spending days climbing and working in trees! Since moving back to Iowa to be near our families, I spend a lot of time cutting wood with my father-in-law, Frank. I enjoy competitive cycling (though I'm not currently competing) and I run 5ks on the weekends for fun.
I’m really excited to be a part of Corridor Stump Grinding and I know you will not be disappointed in the quality of service and care we provide to each and every one of our customers.
Meet The Grinder

Our grinder is a Carlton SP4012 self-propelled grinder, with a 21" cutting wheel and 4 wheel stance.
Why does our machine matter to you?
Because our grinder not only chews up your stump smoothly leaving you a clean slate in your landscaping but it also won't tear up your existing yard like some track models can. And because it's self-propelled and only 35 inches wide, we can get into those hard to reach spots and easily pass through your standard backyard fence openings.
